MOTHER HEN AND THE WEAT.

Once upon a time a Mother Hen an her kids chicks lived at the edge of a     field with their friends: Duck, Cat , Goat. One day they all went for a walk. When Mother Hen looked down and saw some wheat seeds on the ground.

Mother  Hen:

I can plant these seeds, and we can make some delicious bread. Who wants to help me plant the seeds?

Duck:

Ok, I can

Cat:

And I can too.

Goat:

I want to plant the seeds!

Author:

But chicks did not say anything because they have to do what their mother tells them.

Mother  Hen:

Come to the field at a sunrise so we can plant the seeds.

IN THE MORNING

Author:

In the morning all gathered in the field. The Hen, the chicks, the duck.

Hey, where is the cat?

Chick:

Yeah, where is it?

Duck:

But I don’t know, but he said that he was too tired. He was catching rats all night.

Chick:

Rats?

Chick:

He said he would help us.

Mother  Hen:

That’s all right we can plant without him.

Chick:

What about the goat?

Chick:

Yeah!

Chick:

He said he would come too.

Duck:

I don’t know about the Goat. He is probably just sleeping .

Chick:

That is not honest.

Author:

They get to work.

Mother  Hen:

So, come at sunrise  and we’ll all cut the wheat.

Author:

The next morning all gathered in the field. The Hen, the Chicks, the Horse, and …

Chick:

Hey, where is the cat?

Chick:

Where is the duck?

Chick:

They said they would help us.

Horse (Goat)

I don’t know about the cat, but I saw the duck catching bugs.

Chick:

Oh, fine!

Author:

And they all get to work cutting wheat. Horse spent half the time eating the wheat  instead of cutting it.

Horse (Goat):

Oh, it’s delicious.

Author:

Hours late cat came, but they have almost finish.

Chick:

He is so lazy and never helps.

Chick:

It’s not honest.

Chick:

It’s not fair.

Author:

Now the wheat was ready to cut into flour.

Cat:

I was too slow.

Horse (Goat)

I have eaten all the wheat  I was supposed to grain.

Chick:

We did all the work again.

Mother Hen:  It’s ok, don’t worry, everybody helped in their own way.

Author:  Finally it was time to make the dough. They kneaded  and  kneaded and…         Until it was ready to put in the oven. Soon a delicious smell spread over. Then it was finally ready.

Mother Hen: Ok, who wants to eat the bread.

ALL: I want, I want too.

Ch: We did all the work, that’s not fair.

Mother Hen: I’ll explain you.

Duck: I was down by the river eating the bugs, which could spoil the wheat.

Cat: I didn’t show up because I was catching the rats because they could eat the grain.

Horse: I was eating because we eat anything. But I was kneading the dough with my hooves.

Mother Hen: Finally my chicks agreed that maybe everyone had helped a little too. Remember, children, be together, work hard and share with each other that will bring you success.
